Read the following quote:
“If anyone would like to acquire humility, I can, I think tell him the first step. The first step is to realize that one is proud.” –C.S. Lewis
Humility is the very attitude Christ demonstrated for us. And humility is necessary when dealing with difficult relationships according to Christ’s commands.
According to the quote by Lewis, to gain humility, we must first realize the areas of pride in our lives.
Think about this:
- What are some ways you can address the pride in your heart?
- How does pride make relationships difficult?
- How does humility help to prevent conflict in relationships?
